Bracket Tournaments and Friends Mode

The second big feature since the initial build landed today, and it changes the entire shape of a Twitch battle for streams big enough to want it: instead of prompt-based rounds, a full 1v1 elimination bracket.

Bracket Tournaments

Dozens of songs go in, seeded so nobody gets an unfair walkover into round two just from bad luck in the draw, and the bracket plays out as a real tournament instead of a scored round. What matters from the outside is the outcome: seeding that's genuinely fair and spread out, and a tournament that reliably keeps working correctly even if two people happen to act on the same match at the same moment. How that guarantee actually holds isn't the interesting part of this post, the tournament itself is.

Friends Mode

Friends Mode is the other half of today: real friends, submitting songs into a Twitch room, approved in by the host, while chat alone judges the winner. It's the shape of the original game again, just transplanted into a stream, friends competing for real while an audience decides who's right.

The Smaller Stuff

Twitch avatars started showing up next to submissions and on the leaderboard today too, so chat's actual profile pictures appear in the room instead of just plain usernames, plus a new batch of genre-based topics for anyone bored of the existing prompt categories.

One of the strongest click-through days in the whole dataset landed on the same day: 131 clicks, 554 impressions, 23.65% click-through, average position 5.8. The second big feature landed on one of the best click-through days the site had seen.
