Everyone submits a song

Songs get seeded into a bracket
The pool is arranged into a 1v1 elimination bracket, same shape as a sports tournament, so every song has one matchup to start.
Matchups play head-to-head
Two songs play back to back and the room picks one. Head-to-head tends to produce more decisive results than rating songs in isolation.
Losers are out, winners advance
Straight elimination. A song that loses its matchup is done for the tournament, no matter how it might have scored in a different round.
One song survives the final
The bracket plays down to a final matchup, and whichever song wins that is crowned the tournament's pick.
