Cookies, Nav Cleanup, and Social Fixes
By Emilis
A consent banner, fixed link previews on YouTube and Facebook, and a header that finally stopped changing every week.

A cookie consent flow went in this week, the kind of thing that's less about any particular technology and more about giving people an actual choice instead of assuming one on their behalf. Boring to build, correct to have.
Right alongside it, fixes for how shared links unfurl on YouTube and Facebook, small but directly tied to the shareable results image from a week earlier: an image that generates correctly but shows up broken when someone actually pastes the link defeats the entire point.
The header also got a cleanup this week that's basically still what's live today, a small sign that some decisions, once made properly, just stay made. On top of that, faster indexing so new pages get picked up by search engines sooner instead of sitting around waiting.
The week's numbers moved from 15 clicks and 129 impressions on July 10th up to 20 clicks and 186 impressions by July 16th, average position steady in the 3-to-4 range. Consistent mid-triple-digit daily impressions had become the new normal.
