In-Browser Spotify Playback and the Prompt Wheel

Spotify embeds are back, and this time they're solved properly: full playback right in the browser, no Spotify Premium required for anyone, a 30-second preview for every listener and the full track for anyone logged into Spotify in that same browser. If you've read this blog from the start, you already know the callback here: post two shipped an embed, discovered it played at full volume with no way to fix it, and ripped it out the same day. Four months later, same feature, done right. A satisfying bookend.

The spinning prompt wheel also landed around the same time, a standalone party mode for spinning up a random prompt without needing a room or anyone else's phone involved. It replaced an older, plainer prompt generator page outright, anyone still holding a link to the old one gets sent straight to the wheel automatically.

This is the biggest jump in the whole dataset. July 31st: 111 clicks, 546 impressions. August 1st: 123 clicks, 595 impressions, both new highs, and the first time the site cleared 500 impressions in a single day. Whether the timing is cause or coincidence, the week in-browser playback shipped is the same week daily impressions crossed 500 for the first time, and either way, it's a fun coincidence to have.
